How to Be Saved

Know . . .

 

 1.  That you are a sinner and there is a penalty for your sin.

      Romans 3:23  “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of

                             God.”

       Romans 6:23  “For the wages of sin is death ...”

 

2.  That God loves you even though you are a sinner.

      John 3:16  “For God so loved the world...” 

                      The world means everyone including you.

 

3.  That God has shown His love for you by sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross as a sacrifice for your sin.

       John 3:16  “...That He gave His only begotten Son...”

 

4.  That God wants you to believe in His Son Jesus Christ and trust Him

     to save you from the penalty (separation from God) of your sin.

        John 3:16  “...that whosoever believeth in Him...”

 

5.  That whosoever believes in Jesus Christ will not perish (in hell), but will have everlasting life (in heaven).

       John 3:16  “...should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

 

6.   If you call upon the Lord Jesus (pray) and believe in Him with all your heart, you will be saved and will become a member of God’s Family.

        Romans 10:13  “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the

                            Lord shall be saved.”

        John 1:12  “ But as many as received Him, to them gave He

                            power to become the sons of God, even to them

                            that believe on His name.

 

Take God at his word

and claim His promise for your

salvation.

You can accept Jesus here and now—Pray this prayer.

Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner.  Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the son of God and that you died on the cross for my sins. Right now, Lord Jesus, I am placing my total trust in you. Lord, come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, and save me. From this day forward, I will live in you.  Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
